History/ Education/ Early Career
I grew up in South Florida and moved to Tennessee in high school. I graduated 5th in my high school class at Dickson County Senior High School. I graduated Cum Laude from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 1994 with a Mathematics: Actuarial Science Bachelors Degree.
Upon college graduation, I was already licensed as a property and casualty agent. I started my career as a wholesaler selling Security Broker/Dealer and Investment Advisory Errors and Omissions Insurance so I have seen the claims that can happen.
After working for 8 years, I went into business for myself as a Life and Annuity Agent. I found my passion after working for about 8 years traveling all over TN and KY doing Living Trust Reviews. I would help people make sure their Trusts were up to date. I also performed Death Settlements, where I found my passion to help customers through trying times. I used my organizational skills to help them go through the estate process. This is a very challenging time for families and I have a passion to help. After doing this for many years, I decided I didn’t want to push singular products when many customers could benefit through a range of products and services available. I decided to obtain my securities licenses so I could meet those needs.
CREDENTIALS
I worked for Bank of America as a Merrill Edge Financial Solutions Advisor and also US Bank as a Financial Advisor.
I obtained the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor) in 2006, which allowed me to start talking about investments. Then in January of 2014 obtained the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) which enabled me to offer any securities products available to my clients. These FINRA registrations are currently held with LPL Financial.
In continuing my education, in 2016 I obtain the AWMA® Accredited Wealth Management Advisor. This is an indication that I can effectively identify, analyze, and recommend strategies for the unique needs of high-net-worth clients and help them pursue their wealth management goals.
In 2019, I obtained the standard in excellence in financial planning CFP® CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. With this, I have a legal obligation as a fiduciary to put your interests first and maintain high ethical standards.
CONVERSATION STARTERS!
Divorces can be one of the hardest times in one's life. Dealing with new financial goals can be challenging. I’ve been through a divorce and also helped others navigate the resulting financial challenges.
I have also ridden my bike across IOWA on the annual RAGBRAI twice!
My husband and I completed the America’s Great Loop on our boat in 2023/2024. This was a 6300 mile boat trip that took us around Florida, up to the Hudson River, Canada and through Lake Michigan to the river systems home. The year long trip was a life long dream of ours and we were only able to make it happen in our 50's through careful planning. I look forward to helping you make your goals and dreams come true.
I live in Murfreesboro with my husband and have one grown son. I like pickleball, hiking, biking, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
